Featured Speaker - February 12, 2025

Today's featured speaker was Stephanie Lake, Chief Operating Officer of Wake Tech Community College. Learn more about Stephanie and the team at Wake Tech.

Stephanie develops and manages the Foundation's recurring fundraising and stewardship efforts to build lasting relationships with donors and community partners. Stephanie also oversees the Foundation's privately funded grant proposals in collaboration with the college's Sponsored Programs department and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. She has been with the Foundation since April 2004 and brings more than 20 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience.

Stephanie is president of the North Carolina Council for Resource Development, the statewide association serving community college development and grants officers. She is an ex-officio member of the North Carolina Community College System Foundation Board of Directors. Stephanie is a proud Virginia Tech Hokie and lives in Fuquay-Varina with her husband and three children.

Today's featured speaker was Daniel Lipparelli, Chief Executive Officer of Neighbor Health Center.  Daniel says here at Neighborhood Health, my job will be to work with our leadership team and staff to ensure we’re positioned to achieve the growth our community needs from us. It’s also my priority to ensure our staff are equipped to do their jobs well and that they feel cared for during a time that’s extremely challenging for healthcare workers.

Today's featured speaker was Michael Bruchet, Learn more about Michael and his innovative approach to golf, life and good health at www.michaelbruchet.com.

It all started in 1996 when Michael missed the US Open Qualifier by only one shot. His golf career looked bright, but just three weeks later, he got into an accident that left him with a shattered wrist and equally shattered dreams. Each doctor he visited told him the same thing: he could get surgery to fix his wrist, but he would never play golf again. But that's just the beginning of the story.
