2017 Scholarships and Awards

The awards are two $1000 scholarships, this year presented to Dominic Rodts and Tabarek Mohammed Ali. Tabarek was not able to attend the presentation. The club also heard from past recipients of another scholarship we support: the TC & Bill Parker Scholarship to Wake Tech. Two of the three students thanked the club and described their progress and plans. Lastly, the club presented a $25,000 check to the Wake Tech Foundation for the Bridges to Success program. Club 50th Anniversary Project: Bridges to Success

Wednesday August 31 2016 saw a full house for a greatly anticipated meeting. Guest speakers from Wake Tech, Stephanie Lake and Tiffany Williams, spoke about our scholarship program and our 50th Anniversary funded Bridges to Success program, respectively. The club presented Stephanie with a $3000 check for this year’s and Bill Parker scholarship recipients. Video and slide presentations shown below. North Raleigh Rotary Recognizes 4-Way Test Winners and Scholarship Recipients

The Rotary Club of North Raleigh gave recognition to recent award recipients on Wednesday April 20th. The club heard from Stephanie Lake, Senior Director of Foundation Relations & Administration for Wake Tech, who spoke about the TC & Bill Parker Scholarships awarded to two students (a third was awarded directly by the club). Khaled Ali received $1000 towards his education and thanked the club for assistance in achieving his goals. He will be attending UNC Chapel Hill starting in the spring of 2017.
