President’s Corner-April 2014

Well, the last three months of my term as president of the Rotary Club of North Raleigh has started with a bang. It has been a great nine months and we are looking to finish the year strong. With a new member to be added in May and the scheduled events of April and May, it will be a whirlwind couple of months. A special week for Rotary and Interact Club

Last week was an incredible week for the members of the Rotary Club of North Raleigh and the Millbrook High School Interact Club…for separate and common reasons. On March 22nd, about 15 members and family members of the Rotary Club of North Raleigh gathered to plant trees/shrubs and then participated in a park cleanup at the Cedar Hills Rotary Park off Millbrook. This was the hands-on element for the club’s park beautification project…something members of this club have wanted done for many years. President’s Corner, March 2014

It is hard to believe the Rotary year is almost over with less than four months remaining as president of this amazing club. I have enjoyed every minute, though it has been a challenge at times and very time-consuming. I know the club will be in good hands over the next few years as President-Elect Jay Williams and President-Nominee Chris Morden start preparing to fill these shoes.
