Final Assembly for President Chris Morden

President Chris Morden held his last club assembly Wednesday June 8th. Our RYLA students visited us and talked about what they learned at camp. Chris talked about accomplishments through the year and Steven Nelson talked about the 50th Anniversary preparation. Chris spoke to the club about: Reviewed club awards: PR Citation, Governor’s Award of Excellence, RI Presidential Citation. Highlighted the club’s local service projects: Shelly Lake Cleanup, Roadside Cleanup, Total Life Center holiday gifts, MLK Meal Packaging, and Read and Feed. 2016 Spring Assembly

Wednesday March 30th marked the 2016 Club Assembly. Chris Morden talked about membership goals and the impact on our Presidential Citation award. Next year’s goals are going to be tougher to meet. We need to recruit 4 members under 40 and 2 new female members. Matthew Kane and Steve Ramirez talked about the Micro-lending Matching Grant program the club sponsored in Columbia. Matthew also discussed the District’s Disaster Relief Committee and the recent Carolinas PETS. 2016 Winter Assembly, New Member Induction, Casino Night Kickoff

The club gained a new member at the Winter Assembly on Wednesday January 20th. Steve Ramirez was inducted into the club. His wife Naomi attended the induction ceremony. Steve and Naomi have two daughters. They moved from Queens, NY to Apex last year and recently took over the UPS Store next to Kroger at Creedmoor and Lynn Rd. Steve has always been a service minded person, attributes he says were instilled in him by his mother who knew how important it was to give back. Steve was sponsored by Scott Tarkenton. 2014 Winter Club Assembly

President Jay Williams hosted the Club’s Winter Assembly on Wednesday December 10, 2014. Amongst the topics were the Holiday Party, 50th Anniversary Committee and the Total Life Center gift bagging effort. The Assembly started off with an auction for a bottle of wine. Dr. Ed Smallwood donated the bottle and conducted the auction. The club will hold its annual holiday party at the Raleigh Country Club Wednesday December 17th from at 6:30 – 9:00PM. North Raleigh Rotary Fall 2014 Club Assembly

The Rotary Club of North Raleigh conducted its club assembly Wednesday September 18, 2014. Speakers included President Jay Williams, Webmaster Mike Wienold, Foundation Chair Erik Grunwald, Programs Director Scott Tarkenton and Immediate Past President Steven Nelson. President Jay Williams discussed current and upcoming club business. Mike Wienold gave an overview of the new club website. Foundation Chair Erik Grunwald explained how to make foundation donations through Rotary Direct.
