Another month has passed and we are getting closer to our first ever Casino Night on March 28th! Each member is being assigned 4 tickets to sell. The tickets are $75 each and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, 2 free drink tickets (a cash bar is available as well), and a fun night of Vegas style gambling! When you sell your tickets, please write the name of the guests and their email address on the stubs as we will have name tags the night of the event and want the ability to send email reminders. People will also have the ability to purchase tickets online from our website beginning February 1st. Those people will not need tickets as they will be added to the list for the night of the event. Please see Ed Smallwood for your tickets and let me or Scott Tarkenton know if you have any questions. Let’s get all hands on deck for this event and make it the huge success I know it can be!
We are also looking to make a big push to get people registered for the District Conference. The conference is April 24th-26th in New Bern and you can register for this on the district website. We had 33 members and spouses attend several years ago when Mack Parker was District Governor. Let’s give Matthew Kane that same level of support this year!
The other thing that we all need to keep in mind is membership. We have gotten the year off to a great start by inducting Jerry Patterson in January and Mark Duerst will be inducted next week. February 23-27 is membership week which is a great time to invite a friend to attend one of our meetings. It really is as simple as inviting someone to come to lunch with you. We all joined Rotary for different reasons, but we all have stayed because we enjoy the friendships that we have made here. Let’s invite others to come experience what we love so much about Rotary.
Thank you for everything that each of you do to make this a great Rotary Club!
