Senior Daycare facilities can be wonderful places for seniors by providing a creative place that truly cares for them while offering a break for caregivers. Marcia Jarrell, Executive Director of SarahCare at Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh, discussed how their mission is to bring together health, social, and other supportive services in a safe, friendly and warm environment. Their facility is licensed to care for those with memory impairment, chronic diseases and rehabilitation. The cost for their services is typically 50% compared to In Home Care or Assisted Living. Marcia shared that often families initially feel guilty about using senior daycare facilities but later discover their loved one really looks forward to those hours at the center!
