30 years of women in Rotary were celebrated at the Rotary District 7710 district conference on Friday night. Linda Brooks was chosen as our club’s Women in Rotary honoree. Here are some of the reasons why she was chosen:

  1. Linda has led our Jack Andrews Memorial Golf Tournament fundraiser for the past few years. The 2016 event was the best to date, raising approximately $7K for our club.
  2. Linda has been instrumental in our club’s Public Image efforts, harnessing her journalistic skills to prepare articles about club events, then presenting them to local media in a persuasive manner leading to publication.
  3. Linda participates in our club’s annual Total Life Center holiday gift service project, and this year volunteered to play the piano at the event, further brightening the day for the TLC residents.
  4. To date, Linda is one of only five members of the club, and the only woman in the club, to have been recognized with the District Governor’s All-Star Challenge pin.
