  • Presidents-Elect training was held in Greensboro last weekend. Incoming Area 10 AG Mike Wienold works with the Area 10 PEs and PNs on a Rotary trivia quiz.

  • The annual Rotational meeting was Wednesday Oct 25th. Monroe Wallace Law Firm hosted this group including Mark Duerst, Steve Wood, Doug Isenberg, Richard Gantt, Bill Bigger, and from Monroe Wallace Chris Morden and Greg Wallace. Jay Williams is behind the camera.

Dr. Elliott spoke of his upbringing in a very poor area of Eastern NC.He is the first of his generation to be a college graduate. He believes very strongly that to stay in college and succeed in life one needs to have MOTIVATION, MATURITY AND MONEY!! He calls himself "a country boy with city brains! You can lead a horse  to water but you CAN'T make it drink!" His other favorite expression is: " You MUST get thirsty for education!" Dr. Elliott is the VP for Student Affairs at Shaw University.

  • The 2017-18 board members were voted in favor and will be installed at the annual banquet on June 28th. New board members are Youth Service Director Katie Turnbull, International Service Director Rosemary Stevens, Sergeant-at-Arms Howie Feldman and VP/President-Nominee Richard Gantt. Returning board members are (in their 2017-18 roles) Club Service Director Matt Towler, Community Service Director Paul Stone, Vocational Service Director Curtis Stevens, Secretary Mark Duerst, Treasurer Jay Williams, Immediate Past President Scott Tarkenton, President-Elect Jason Potts and President Mike Wienold.
