Today our club held its biannual Shelly Lake Park community service clean-up project, hosted by Paul Stone, Director of our club’s Community Service Committee.
Fourteen club members, plus thirteen family members and guests, participated. It was a sunny day and a great time was had by all. This service project benefits not only our community, but also helps our club satisfy its $5,680 annual service Give Back obligation to Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department for the use of the Sertoma Arts Center to hold our weekly club meetings. Today’s volunteer activity accrued $1,863 Give Back credit for our club, leaving our club with a $3,817 Give Back balance to attain by year-end.
