Economic Development Partnership at NC State

Tom White, Director of the Economic Development Partnership at NC State, was our speaker Wednesday November 30th. Tom serves as a liaison to local, regional and state economic developers and workforce development practitioners to connect NC State faculty, staff and students with new and expanding industry. His duties include implementing the Industry Clusters strategy statewide, chairing the UNC-General Administration Economic Transformation Council, and coordinating both corporate recruitment and retention/expansion activities with several governmental agencies. Mayor McFarlane’s 2016 State of the City Address

Monday March 7, 2016, Raleigh, NC Mayor Nancy McFarlane delivered her annual State of the City Address. The address was held at the Raleigh Convention Center and hosted by the Rotary Club of Raleigh. Chris Morden and Mike Wienold from the North Raleigh club both attended. Attendance was sparse with the exception of the Rotary community. Rotarians from other clubs were out in force to join the member of the Raleigh club. City Council and other elected officials and staff were also in attendance to support the Mayor.
