Rotary is made up of three parts: at the heart of Rotary are the clubs like ours, that are supported by Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Through the collaboration of these three entities, we support local and international causes.
Our club brings together dedicated individuals to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action.
Rotary International supports ours and other clubs worldwide by coordinating global programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
The Rotary Foundation uses generous donations to fund projects by Rotarians and our partners in communities around the world. As a nonprofit, all of the Foundation’s funding comes from voluntary contributions made by Rotarians and friends who share our vision of a better world.
These are the charities the Rotary Club of North Raleigh supports directly.

About This Charity
The CART Fund provides funds for cutting edge research to cure Alzheimer’s disease. CART started in 1996 with Rotarians voluntarily emptying their pockets and purses of change at weekly meetings.
One hundred percent (100%) of donated funds go to cutting edge AD research as required by the by-laws. Through 2015, the Fund has awarded over $5.2 million dollars in 29 grants to recognized US research institutions. All administrative expenses of the Fund are paid from interest earned from invested contributions.
How We Give
The Rotary Club of North Raleigh collects money at weekly meetings to send to the CART fund.
