Rotary is made up of three parts: at the heart of Rotary are the clubs like ours, that are supported by Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Through the collaboration of these three entities, we support local and international causes.
Our club brings together dedicated individuals to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action.
Rotary International supports ours and other clubs worldwide by coordinating global programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
The Rotary Foundation uses generous donations to fund projects by Rotarians and our partners in communities around the world. As a nonprofit, all of the Foundation’s funding comes from voluntary contributions made by Rotarians and friends who share our vision of a better world.
These are the charities the Rotary Club of North Raleigh supports directly.

B&GH and Rotary
In 1966, 16 boys moved into the brand new Rotary cottage, which was generously funded by Rotarians across the state. With the capacity now at 9, the residents are able to build closer, family-like relationships with staff.
Each year, hundreds of Rotarians visit campus on “Rotary Day” – traditionally held on the Sunday following Super Bowl Sunday. They attend a morning worship service with all B&GH residents, followed by lunch in the Fellowship and dessert in the Rotary Cottage.
How We Give
The Rotary Club of North Raleigh is proud to be a financial supporter of the Boys and Girls Homes of NC. Each year, we allocate funds that are critical to their successful operations.

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is an innovative hunger-relief organization serving seven counties in and around the Triangle. We believe hunger IS fixable if the community works together to do two things: create sources of healthy food in every low-income neighborhood and grow opportunities for people to provide for themselves by learning job skills or growing their own food. From BackPack Buddies to nutrition education, mobile markets to community gardens, culinary job training to urban agriculture training, we go directly to people in need and create what works to empower them. We feed. We teach. We grow…to create a hunger-free and healthy community.
Rotary Commitment
How We Give
The Rotary Club of North Raleigh, through our various fundraising efforts, collects funds to financially contribute to the Interfaith Food Shuttle.
About This Charity
Created by the North Raleigh Rotary Club as one of it’s 50th anniversary project, LaunchRALEIGH strives to develop successful entrepreneurs who have limited access to financial and business resources.
LaunchRALEIGH will provide training, mentors, microloans and networking opportunities to develop Raleigh-area entrepreneurs who have limited access to resources. Applicants are required to complete a training program prior to applying. Loans of $500 to $2500 will be repaid in 12 months at 5% interest. Once approved, recipients will be paired with a mentor.
Because repayment is required, the program is sustainable for years to come without additional funding. Total commitment from the Rotary Club of North Raleigh is $25,000.

About This Charity
Nourish International accomplishes its mission by serving as a platform for students to make a global impact today. The Nourish International Model has three parts:
Student Leadership Development – students gain skills in social enterprise, responsible development, and leadership to create lasting change
Ventures – students run these socially responsible businesses to raise money and help support people, planet and profits
Projects – students and partners (community-led, grassroots NGOs) establish lasting relationships centered around addressing issues related to extreme poverty. Chapters invest the earnings from their ventures and also commit small intern teams for a 6-8 week project alongside the partner organization.
About This Charity
