NC Public Safety Commissioner David Guice

Department of Public Safety, David Guice, spoke to the club Wednesday May 24th. Mr. Guice is a member of the North Carolina Sentencing and Policy Advisory Commission and the Council of State Governments Justice Center National Board of Directors. He began his career in the Division of Community Corrections where he has now worked for more than 39 years. Commissioner Guice said prisons have become de facto mental health hospitals. Exchange Student from Brazil Talks About Her Experience

Sophia has been our club’s Rotary Exchange Student this past year. She is from Sao Joao da Boa Vista in the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil. She gave the club a presentation about her home, her family (home and host) and the culture of Brazil. Sophia’s host families were in attendance at the meeting. 2017 Spring Picnic

The weather held out. Although it didn’t rain, it was humid out.
