Next year’s club President-Elect, Jason Potts and President, Mike Wienold both attended Carolina’s PETS in Greensboro March 16-18. PETS is the President Elect’s Training Seminar provided by our zone (Zone 33) and organized by our District Governors Elect. Matthew Kane, past club president and past district governor, was at the seminar as an instructor.

PETS is attended by Presidents-Elect, Presidents-Nominee, Assistant Governors, Governors Nominee, Governors Nominee Designate. Using inspiring speakers and experienced discussion leaders, Carolinas’ PETS is structured to enable the participants to extract maximum benefits from the materials presented as well as from each other. This year we heard from Rotary International Director John Hewko, past RI President Ron Burton and inspirational speaker Winnie Morgan.

There were also districts meetings each day. District leadership presented district specific goals and objectives for the upcoming Rotary year.

With meetings, breakout sessions, mixers and meals, there were great opportunities to meet Rotarians from around the Carolinas and hear ideas from how their clubs operate.

Throughout the weekend there were many inspiring speakers. One of the best was keynote speaker Winnie Morgan. Watch videos from the weekend’s speakers on Vimeo here:
