Wake County Democratic Party Chair Talks Voter Information

Brian Fitzsimmons from Assured Partners NL spoke at the North Raleigh Rotary Club on Wednesday September 28th. Brian works in the insurance industry but is also heavily involved in politics. Brian is currently the chair of the Wake County Democratic Party. Brian spoke to us about the population growth in Wake County and how that effects the election due to the increased number of registered voters. Club Members Clean Up at Shelley Lake

Today our club held its biannual Shelly Lake Park community service clean-up project, hosted by Paul Stone, Director of our club’s Community Service Committee. Fourteen club members, plus thirteen family members and guests, participated. It was a sunny day and a great time was had by all. This service project benefits not only our community, but also helps our club satisfy its $5,680 annual service Give Back obligation to Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department for the use of the Sertoma Arts Center to hold our weekly club meetings. Dr. Adelman Talks Current Health Issues

Dr. Richard Adelman, long-time club member, gave an update on current health concerns. His health update has become an annual occurrence at our club and others. He discussed, diet, vitamin-D, allergies, Zika amongst other topics. Dr. Richard Adelman addressed many health care issues in his 1/2 hour talk before the club. Among them: 1. Eggs are now good for you. 2. 2% milk is also good for you. 3. Put oil & vinegar on your salad, not all the fancy dressings that contain so much fat. 4. Club 50th Anniversary Project: Bridges to Success

Wednesday August 31 2016 saw a full house for a greatly anticipated meeting. Guest speakers from Wake Tech, Stephanie Lake and Tiffany Williams, spoke about our scholarship program and our 50th Anniversary funded Bridges to Success program, respectively.
