Good Times had at Evening Social

The evening meeting was combined with the periodic new member social, spearheaded by Matthew Kane and Erik Grunwald. There was a great turnout with several prospective members in attendance, as well as newer members, long-time members and spouses. This social happens about every two months and was a perfect combination for one of the evening meetings. We talked a lot about Rotary and answered questions for the guests thinking about joining our club. All in all it was a great evening at Relish with good friends. District 7710 Young Professionals Meetup

Last Thursday August 12, Katie Turnbull represented our club at the Young Professionals’ Happy Hour at The Frontier in RTP earlier this month. Rotarians filled a number of plastic bins for the District’s “Fill the Bus!” back to school campaign, and District Governor Rusine and District Governor Elect Shafi both made an appearance to show their support. Katie had the opportunity to chat with members of RTP, Raleigh Midtown, Apex Sunrise, and eClub, as well as learn more about The Frontier from one of the RTP Rotarians. The YP or New Generations Committee engages in quarterly socials and community service.

Welcome New Members Chase and Tressa Sutphin

August is starting out great for our membership goals. We welcomed two new members on August 10th. Chase and Tressa Sutphin are our first husband and wife inductees together.
