Wednesday February 11, the Club hosted the annual Rotary Against Drugs Speech Contest. Four students from Sanderson High School participated and put on a great show.

Maggie Lee and Tim Gillespie shared second runners up, Ashley Mercer won first runner up and Kate Crabtree won first place. North Raleigh Rotary’s Jason Potts chaired the competition and was left with very difficult choices scoring the essays with his committee. The speeches were all fantastic. The students were supported at the event by their parents and the Sanderson High Speech/English teacher.
