North Raleigh Rotary Fall 2014 Club Assembly

The Rotary Club of North Raleigh conducted its club assembly Wednesday September 18, 2014. Speakers included President Jay Williams, Webmaster Mike Wienold, Foundation Chair Erik Grunwald, Programs Director Scott Tarkenton and Immediate Past President Steven Nelson. President Jay Williams discussed current and upcoming club business. Mike Wienold gave an overview of the new club website. Foundation Chair Erik Grunwald explained how to make foundation donations through Rotary Direct. Immediate Past President Steven Nelson talked about the upcoming visit by the District 7710 hosted vocational team from Brazil. The team is made up of doctors coming to do Alzheimer’s research here

When he bought it the magazine had 23,000 paid subscribers. Today 179,800 people subscribe to this award winning regional magazine. 2014 Club Fall Picnic at Cedar Hills Park

Representatives from the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department joined us for lunch to host a discussion about funding local park maintenance projects. The speaker for today’s “fall” meeting was David Shouse, Natural Resource Administrator for Raleigh. David spoke about the upcoming RALEIGH PARKS BOND REFERENDUM which will be on the ballot November 4th.
